PS1 games play much better with the extra analog stick and touch pad, even more so with a grip that adds "triggers" to the back. Scaling is never an issue since the resolution of the Vita's screen can easily fit a 2x scale fro most consoles and 3x for handhelds. The form factor is obviously a lot bigger but with that comes a much more comfortable grip and way better controls. Note: If the bubble doesn’t work once its put back in the vita from qcma, turn off the vita and put the vita in safe mode then rebuild the data base and it will work. If you have any problem leave a comment below.

GBA is much better with only minor incompatibilities and SNES whipe not great is definitely much more playable. I hope this help anyone wanting to have easy access to emulator or homebrew right on the live area of the Vita or PSTV. The Vita will basically do everything the Go does better.

If you can get over those problems though it can still be pretty decent for most stuff and the small form factor plus being able to easily connect it up to a tv and use a Dualshock 3 may make the sacrifices worth it.

You'll also be stuck to only 16GB of storage which can be a pain if you want to play a lot of PS1 or PSP games, there is an adapter to be able to use regular SD cards but it was pretty limited and I'm not sure if they're still being made.

Scaling options for GB/C are also a bit of a pain so unless you want terribly blurry scaling you'll have to use the RIN emulator for it. SNES emulation is pretty poor and GBA isn't great unless you can put up with frameskipping. It would be a shame if this catalog of games were to fade away, just because there would be no contemporary hardware on which they could be played. The PSP Go can still be an alright enough emulation machine for a lot of stuff but it's definitely aged.

GPSP FOR VITA 0.9 Gameboy Advance (GBA) PSP: 0.9MB: Download Emulators on 3DS Emulators on Android Emulators on iOS (iPhone,iPad). Emulator Console Platform FileSize Emulator PSPAtari 1.1.2 Atari 800 PSP: 1MB: Download fMSX PSP 3.1.3 MSX-2 PSP: 0.5MB. There are so many great PSP and Vita games. Emulators that you can run on Psp devices. Consumers will be happy to carry over their old games without having to repurchase them, which in turn should give them confidence to buy more games, knowing that they can be played for many years ahead, Publishers and developers would also be happy, because they can continue to sell the great games that they've already created, instead of having to reprogram the game every few years (which takes time, money, and resources).

I've said for several years now that they should allow these games to be sold and played on PS4, because it would please consumers, developers, and publishers. Theres also a Dreamcast emulator in development for it. Even though it should be feasible from a technical perspective, I have doubts that Sony will actually go through with it, since they never bothered to bring over PS1 games, or the downloadable PS2 games that were sold on PS3. Vita homebrew has really picked up in the past couple of years and even got a native N64 emulator this year (as opposed to using the PSP hardware for the old PSP N64 emu). There shouldn't be many technical challenges, aside from Vita games that rely on certain hardware features like the touch screen, rear touch panel, or cameras. I'd like to see my previously purchased PSP and Vita games (at least the digital downloads) playable on PS4.
